You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side(Season 5, Episode 11)

Nathan is still crashing on Lucas' couch a week after Jamie's near drowning. Despite his marital troubles, Boy Wonder is still willing to take part on Lucas' bachelor party, put together by Jamie and Skillz. Because it's all about Lucas. Lucas, Lucas, Lucas! 

Mouth and Millicent seem to be growing strong. It's almost sickening to see how sweet they are together. Mouth drops by the store to deliver Millie's breakfast, and Brooke drops the bombshell about Rachel being back in town. Mouth is troubled by this blast from the past.

Lucas and Lindsay go shopping at Macy's for the wedding gifts. Brooke is there(with Owen)killing time before a meeting. However, Victoria arrives and informs Brooke that the meeting was held without her, since Brooke was busy designing Lindsay's wedding dress. Victoria implies that Brooke wasn't really needed there anyway. Ouch.

I almost forgot... Bevin now works at the Macy's! She seems just chipper as ever. She's now married to Tim, and they have a son named Nathan(We already knew that part.)

Millie is unhappy that Mouth might see Rachel. She was around during the time was doing drugs(and other stuff.) Despite this, Mouth still goes. Rachel gets all dolled up for this special occasion.They start talking again as if no time has passed.But...

Rachel tries to seduce Mouth, which quickly sours the conversation. Mouth leaves, and Rachel gets a text message form one of drug friends, wanting her to attend a party.

Brooke is surprised to discover that  "friend" of Owen's that she set Peyton up with is Chase. Yay! He's the man.

Chase cuts right to the...chase and flat out asks Peyton if she is still in love with Lucas. The answer is in the affirmative, of course, which means Chase's chances with Peyton are practically zero. He'll be all right, I bet.

Victoria stops by Brooke's looking for her daughter. She sees Rachel there and does what she does best...harass Rachel mercilessly. She calls Rachel a pathetic parasite, a leech! She loves those metaphors.

Jamie wants nothing more than to play rock band and bouncy castle with his mom and dad. but they can't stand to be around each other. Skillz calls Haley out on ignoring her duties, but she runs away. She's not ready to hear that yet!  Skillz comfortsJamie, who has retreated to his room to play with his pet rabbit(Chester!)

Dan has indeed made parole. He appears to be prepared to meet his grandson, Nathan's wishes be damned. He purchases a basketball for Jamie. He also hooks up with the cashier hottie. Well, he has been in prison for four years.

Rachel has fled Tree Hill, with Brooke's money. Broke leant Peyton money to start the record label, which Peyton repaid in an envelope full of cash. Brooke learns of Victoria's visit to her apartment and has finally reached the end of her rope: she fires her mother from the company. She waited too long! Rachel could have been saved.

Haley reads the draft of Lucas' new novel. She has some kind of epiphany and calls Lucas and tells him he cannot marry Lindsay. Thanks, a lot Haley! Damn, that must be one powerful book.
