We Three: My Echo, My Shadow And Me (Season 6, Episode 11)

On a dark and story night...Lucas falls asleep watching "Casablanca" and dreams himself (and all his friends and enemies)in a 1940's epic.

Lucas is a tuxedo clad owner of a club(called Karen's Cafe, of course.) Mouth is a newspaper gossip reporter with an addiction to booze who swears he's about to break a big story. Nathan is the bartender.

Haley is the club singer. As she prepares to get ready to go stage she is paid an unwelcome visit by Dan, who wants her back. She used ot work at his place, and they apparently had a thing. The gloriously mustachioed Dan plants a kiss on Haley and she recoils in horror!

Haley sings the theme song of Karen's cafe, which is appropriately period sounding. She better get residuals for coming up with that. Nathan is in madly in love with Haley, but doesn't think he's got a shot with such a fine looking dame.

Dan arrives with his daughter Peyton in tow and pressures Lucas to give Haley back to him. Dan was involved with Lucas' mother Karen until Lucas' Uncle Keith was killed in  a mysterious accident. Dan's henchman, Julian(looking hilariously awkward in a fedora)threatens Lucas with a broken bottle, but cop Owen shows up and interrupts any bloodshed.

Brooke is apparently so broke she can't even pay for a taxi ride home. She gives her remaining change to a hobo on the street. She owes Dan a great deal of money for the loan she took out to start her business, and he gives her until midnight tomorrow to pay up or else! Drunken Mouth wakes up from the trash cans he's sleeping next to, and he hears Dan tell Julian to "deliver a message" to that nosy cop Owen.

Haley and her awesome Andrews Sisters hairdo are completely smitten by Nathan after he saves her from a gropey customer. He only has a short time to step out with her though: He's just received his draft notice. Ain't that always the way it is?

Lucas vandalizes Peyton's vehicle so he can have an excuse to walk with her. What follows is a lot of corny dialogue, especially on Peyton's part. Oh, my goodness. She wants to fall in love!  And only Lucas fits the bill.

Brooke pays off her debt by telling Dan about Lucas and Peyton, sitting in a tree.  Whoa! Look at that crazy hat. Dan has a task for Brooke.

Julian ruins Skillz piano playing career by smashing Skillz hand in a car door. Why? Evil Julian just likes doing that kind of thing, I guess.

Dan has Owen tied to a chair while he beats the crap out of him. Dan lets it slip that he murdered Uncle Keith. Mouth is watching this happen, but he sucks at snooping, so he gets caught by Julian. A horrified Peyton witnesses Dan and his cronies toss a bound and battered Mouth off a bridge to his doom.

Haley and Nathan got married. They move fast. Haley is certain Nathan won't be killed in the war, because that's the kind of person she is.

Peyton runs to tell Lucas about Mouth getting dunked. Lucas grabs his gun, and when Dan and his cronies arrive, Lucas guns down Julian. Dan instructs Brooke to finish her debt by killing Lucas, but she turns the tables and tries to shoot Dan. The  pistol he gave her is unloaded, however. Dan gets tackled by Skillz, and the struggle Dan's pistol goes off, and the shot hits Peyton in the abdomen. Everybody stand around in the rain and watches her die.

Haley sees Nathan off to war. His chances are good, considering he survived all the craziness that just happened in Tree Hill. The End.

CLIFFHANGER(S): Back in real life, Lucas wakes up and calls Peyton. He's spooked by his dream and needs to hear her voice for reassurance. As soon as the call is over, Peyton starts suffering from horrible abdominal pains and collapses to the floor. This show...
