Things A Mama Don't Know(Season 6, Episode 13)

A tearful Peyton phones Lucas to tell him her test results. She doesn't have cancer...she's pregnant! Well, that was a lot of melodramatic buildup that served no purpose whatsoever.

Samantha is being held hostage by Xavier. He drops all pretenses the second she's in his house. He knows that she revealed to Brooke that he was responsible for the attack. Just to make sure we know Xavier is evil, we see him slap Jack around.

Millie is crushed that she lost her virginity to Owen on a one night stand. Owen's long fight sobriety is over, and then there's poor Mouth, who believes he can makes thing right with Millie if he tries hard. Things are bad for everybody!

The basketball team makes it official: Nathan is their new point guard. His new pal Bobby has been moved up to Coach. Everything's coming up Nathan. However, one of the players makes it clear that Nathan's  spot belongs to him. He taunts Nathan for being jersey number 23, Nathan's high school number.

Lucas is summoned to meet Paul Norris, an executive of the production company. The director, Reese has threatened to drop out, and Paul blames Julian's way of doing things. Paul is Julian's father, by the way. He asks Lucas if Julian is the right man for the job. He also wonders if Julian is just in Tree Hill to try to win Peyton back. Anyway, Lucas tells Paul that this Reese jerk isn't the right director for the movie.

Paul gives Lucas the  perfect opportunity to request to have Julian fired, but Lucas does not. Because something integrity something.

Jack Daniels manages to pry open a window and escape. He leaves Samantha high and dry with Xavier, who binds and gags her with duct tape. 

Brooke finally remembers that Jack exists, and Julian makes himself useful by going out in search of the boy. Brooke cuts right to the chase and goes to the Daniels home, where Xavier immediately rubs here the wrong way by commenting on her attractiveness.

Millie reveals to Mouth that she had sex with Owen, which really should take the air out of his apology. He's too stunned to say anything at all!

Hey, it's Chase! He returns upon hearing of Owen's relapse. Owen realizes that an alcoholic working in a  bar isn't a sound plan, so he agrees to turn his duties over to Chase while he sorts himself out. That's the best news ever!

Xavier can't help but let  it slip to Brooke that he was her attacker. A fight ensues, with Brooke dishing it out pretty good, until she pulls the gun from her purse and seems ready to blow the sucker away. Samantha has broken free and convinces Brooke not to kill. She calls Brooke "mom."  So Brooke pistol whips Xavier instead, knocking him out cold, just as Jack shows up with Julian.

The cops find Quentin's wallet among Xavier's possessions, because he's a dumbass. Yes, the cop really holds up the  I.D. of murdered Quentin in full view of the murderer's kidnapping victims.

Peyton and Mia seem to have gotten over their differences. But Mia has songwriter's block, so Haley assists her, of course.  Mia assists Chase in his bartending, because he apparently doesn't know a thing about it. Yes, they have a "meet cute." That's nice.
