Sympathy For The Devil(Season 6, Episode 9)

Peyton's wedding dress is ruined, but Brooke seems to be inspired by it: she draws sketches of the thing. Perhaps this will help her business recover.

Owen woos Brooke by  delivering a different gidt to her every day. This day, it's sunflowers. The next day: those orange circus peanut candy things. I kid. But it would work.

Peyton has a flashback of the first time he met Julian: it was right after she rejected Lucas' marriage proposal, and she returned to work in Los Angeles all teary eyed. Julian sees Peyton crying over a piece of paper jammed in a printer, and he uses it as a metaphor for whatever was wrong with her? Does anyone do that in real life?

Lucas has spent three weeks writing the screenplay for "Ravens." Julian notices Lucas has omitted a scene showing Keith's death. Lucas thinks the death should happen off screen, while Julian believes the murder should be shown in all its ugly glory. It's more cinematical, Julian explains. Julian is ready to fire and  replace Lucas if the scene is not written.

Another flashback! Julian just happens to run into Peyton and takers her to a swanky Hollywood restaurant. She has a copy of the Ravens book with her, because she is hoping to get it signed by Lucas. He was stalking her, right?

Owen ingratiates himself to Brooke by getting naked in the backseat of her car. Brooke is mortified, even though she's done this herself on two or more occasions, bu it's different when a dude does it. She kicks him out on the street and he gets picked up by the cops. Not cool, Brooke.

Flashbacks number three: Julian and Peyton are living together and are all in love and stuff. This is getting tedious

Flashback number four: Julian is going to Sundance film festival. Peyton was set to go along, but Julian has grown tired of her reading the Ravens book over and over. He also thinks it's creepy that she buys a copy of the book every time she goes out. It's the break up scene!

Lucas believes writing Keith's Death scene is ghoulish, and may somehow make the viewing audience sympathize with Dan. As if that could ever happen right? Oh, wait... Peyton is sure that Keith would want Lucas to write the scene, instead of someone unknown. Lucas goes to the cemetery and defaces Dan's headstone with a shovel. Some kind of radical new therapy.

Dan is cool with the vandalism. He's also cool with Lucas depicting him as a monster. Because every good story needs a villain.

Nathan has a rival gunning for him in Slamball! Owen does his best to protect his buddy, but gets run over himself by the behemoth. Haley's breakfast food gives Nathan the energy he needs to win the game, but his angry rival tackles him right through the protective glass when his back is turned celebrating. Surprisingly, Nathan is all right, but Jamie wants him to quit playing Slamball!

CLIFFHANGER: Lucas delivers his finished screenplay to Julian's apartment. While Julian is on the phone, Lucas discovers a photo of him with Peyton that the producer left haphazardly just laying around. Lucas confronts Peyton with the photo...
