Baby Angie keeps Brooke and Peyton awake crying all the time. This is apparently unrelated to the heart condition the baby is suffering from. Brooke already feels like she is a terrible mother. This may be the only time in the series where we see Peyton looking disheveled. She didn't look that like even after she was shot.
It's time for Jamie's fifth birthday party! Dan asks Nathan for permission to stop by and say hello. Nathan of course, says no way in hell this will happen.
Lucas plans to use Jamie's party as a chance to get back into..I mean, get back together with Lindsay. He's completely delusional of course, but needs to find this out for himself. He tries on several different shirts, before deciding on one that looks just like the other ones.
Skillz confides in Peyton: he believes Nathan and Haley have frozen him out of Jamie's life, because of the incident at the wedding, and he longs for forgiveness. In the meantime, he must put up with his roommates' shenanigans around Millicent. She's already moved in, and the knuckleheads(Fergie and Junk) go ga ga over her.
Haley is terrified of the party clown that Deb has hired. And who can blame her look at that guy. The damn clown and Debra make lecherous comments at each other over blowing up party balloons. Look at that placement of the pink balloon! Did I just type that?
Dan arrives to deliver Jamie's gift, and appears ready to murder the creepy clown. But unfortunately he does not.
Peyton tells Skillz to man up and talk to Haley and Nathan. It turns out that neither one blame of them blame Skillz for leaving Jamie alone to be kidnapped. They were just so absorbed in their own problems that they forgot to tell him sooner. Heartbreak averted. Skillz gift for Jamie is a Nintendo Wii, would was probably expensive at the time this aired. Peyton doesn't follow her own advice with Lucas, though.
Haley discovers that Debra has been shagging the party clown in her closet. Which will give her(and the audience) nightmares for ever and ever.
Despite his snazzy shirt, Lucas can't convince Lindsay he still loves her. She stops by and picks up the rest of her stuff from his place, and leaves in tears. Lucas almost sheds a tear himself! Perhaps he was thinking about Brooke, because...
Brooke need assistance taking care of the baby, so she can finish her designs. Of course Lucas volunteers, and Angie seems to like him, because she has stopped crying.
CLIFFHANGER: Dan gives Nathan the deed to his beach house. His his heart disease has progressed, and requires a transplant. He has six months to live!
