Echoes, Slience, Patience, And Grace(Season , Episode 13)
Lucas follows Dan out of the church...Dan smiles expecting at least a "thank you" but instead receives several punches to the face! Nathan runs out and joins in on the pummeling. Jamie is grateful to his Grandpa for saving his life. This means the world to bloody battered Dan.
FOUR WEEKS LATER! Haley and Nathan are in marriage counseling, while Brooke is grilled by a representative of an adoption agency. The questions are "Are you sexually active?" and "Are you a drinker?" Brooke's jokey answers do little to hide her nervousness. Her voice sounds pretty raspy here. I think Sophia Bush must have had a cold, or suffering from allergies.
Haley blames herself for Nathan's attraction to nanny Carrie: she thinks she's no longer attractive enough! Nuts of course. The psychiatrist however, believes that this was due to Nathan being removed from basketball. He just missed the adoration. That's deep.
Lucas has been spending time with his mom and Andy on their awesome yacht. Andy tries to tactfully convince Lucas to stop sulking and go back to move on with his life. Lucas doesn't know what to do! He still loves Peyton, but he loves Lindsay, too! The poor guy.
Lindsay has gone back to New York, and Andy offers to fly Lucas there in his private jet. Ohhh, Perfect Andy, with his yacht and his jet! He's like a good Lex Luthor.
Dan's parole officer reads him the spiel about needing to find gainful employment, warning him about leaving the state, etc. Dan just wants to talk about his grandson. He gives the guy $3,000(which he earned in prison on work detail)to sit there and listen to him talk about Jamie. Dan has been secretly going to the school and talking to Jamie through the fence at recess.
Peyton once again feels like the odd woman out, so she goes to her place of solace: the record store: but the bins and the walls are bare. The store is out of business! Max(Mark Schwahn, creator this awesome show)explains that business tanked after everyone started buying their music online. Max is very proud of Peyton for starting her own record label. Peyton pours her heart out to Max about all her troubles, which is a meta thing, right? I mean he did "create" her.
We hear about some of Brooke's "greatest hits"(her class president campaign with the wacky posters, her housing Rachel) provided to the agent by Victoria. Brooke briefly mentions her father: He cared more for his golf game than he did for her. A little vague, but it's something. Being single makes Brooke a horrible candidate for some reason, and she's rejected. There's one of the sad faces again.
Lucas does indeed go to New York to talk to Lindsay. They both handle the situation like adults for once. They decide to stay separated. Lindsay still wants to edit the book, because it's good. And it's her job.
CLIFFHANGER: Max tells Peyton to just get in her cool car and go joyriding. Your creator hath spoken! So she does. Maybe that doesn't count as a cliffhanger. Oh, wait...she's leaving town! Then it does count.
