You Have To Be Joking(Autopsy Of The Devil's Brain) [Season 6, Episode 12]
An opening voice over, this time by Quentin's mysterious killer. It's an old nursery rhyme.
A Little Old man and I fell out Let me tell you what it was all about He had money and I had none And that's the way the noise begun.
Brooke walks in on Samantha sneaking a boy out her window. His name is Jack Daniels, and he's having trouble with his family. Samantha swears he's just a friend, and that nothing happened. Brooke nails the window shut just in case.
Peyton's at the doctor getting tested for whatever might be wrong, while Julian and Lucas spar in a diner. Julian wants Lucas to fly to Los Angeles to meet thedirector of the movie. Julian taunts Lucas, saying he's going to make Peyton fall in love with him while Lucas is away. Julian pours sugar on the table and draws his and Peyton's initials in it. He's a dick. A likeable dick.
Nathan gets right back into the NBA, thanks to Bobby(the guy who formerly tried to recruit him as a coach.) Of course, there's one player on the team who sees Nathan as a threat to his own spot. When does that NOT happen?
Anyway, Nathan uses his training by Quentin to his advantageto become a point guard.
Julian offers Brooke a huge deal by requesting that she design the clothing for the movie. he happens to walk in on her dancing to that song from "The Breakfast Club." Sadly, she is not doing the robot. Just some kind of spastic thing.
Lucas meets the director, Reese(James Van Der Beek?!)He immediately starts throwing out changes to the script that will make the movie better. His first choice: Haley dies. Second choice: Haley and Lucas get married. I hate him already. Reese claims the "little bitches"(teenage girls) that watch movies will eat that crap up. He's a misogynistic prick! My hatred is justified.
Jamie is a little hesitant to perform at his school's talent show, because Haley wants him to play the piano, and he's not that great at it. He messes up on stage while playing his song, but quickly rescues himself by telling corny jokes. Brooke and Haley are happy. Who cares what anyone else thinks?
OH DEAR!Samantha believes she is responsible for Brooke's assault. After Brooke caught he shoplifting, she started telling her friends( including Jack) that "someone should put Brooke in her place."Samantha runs away, and Brooke goes to Tric to ask for Owen's help. He declines. Julian appears to be uncaring as well, but he does go to the diner and ask about Sam's whereabouts.
Millie discovers a provocative photo on Mouth's phone that Gigi sent him. She goes to the bar, and she and depressed Owen end up getting drunk and having sex. Oh No!
Peyton assumes the worst,: she's looking up internet articles on cancer, and she has a huge blowup with Mia which may end their partnership. She gets a call form the doc about her test results, but we don't get to hear those until next time.
CLIFFHANGER(S): Samantha gets in a car with her friend Jack Daniels. He introduces her to the driver(his brother)Xavier. Yep, it's the guy that killed Quentin.
We see Ghost Quentin in the school gym, putting on the cape made by Haley. Now that Nathan is in the NBA, his work is apparently done....
The episode ends with another twisted nursery rhyme voice over, this time by Jamie.
