The Trick Is To Keep Breathing(Season 2, Episode 9)

 This episode features a high school formal!  A little birdie told Nathan that Haley is a lock to be crowned queen(no surprise there). Haley must be late, however, because she's auditioning for a big show at Tric. Chris Keller tells Haley that big time record people will be in the audience at the show and it's a really big deal. I bet it's Frankie Sharp, from Sharp Records! Chris Keller unplugs the clock in the studio so Haley won't be distracted.

Haley shows up just in time for the crowning! Nathan has been drinking heavily and chooses that Stars Go Blue Song for the winning music, but he hears Chris Keller's voice on the track and immediately assumes Haley and Chris are doing it. That's right, he never bothered to listen to the whole damned song. Haley accuses Nathan of jealousy, and Nathan reveals that he turned that down that basketball camp thing FOR HER.  Haley reads the acceptance letter and cries, cries cries! Is this the end of Nathan and Haley?

More fireworks between Mouth and Felix. It turns out that Felix gave Mouth the money to buy Brooke's dollhouse. Brooke learns that Mouth is a dirty stinking liar and wants nothing to do with him! She breaks up with Felix, too. So that happens.

(Mis)adventures of Peyton:  Anna discovers a vial of cocaine in Peyton's purse. Felix sees them talking and makes a joke about the two of them being lesbians. Anna defensively tells Peyton to stop being gay with her. A stupid kid spills a drink on Peyton's dress, which belonged to her mother. She goes home and is very upset when the stain won't come out of the dress. Bad night for Peyton! At least she throws away the cocaine this time. Drugs bad!

(Peyton forgives Anna, because Peyton is apparently a saint now. She even lets Anna stay at her place.)

Lucas tells Dan he knows Dan lied about his test results. Dan also knows Lucas refused his heart test. Dan admits to Debra he lied, probably to keep Lucas from having leverage over him. Debra believes this as a legitimate apology. He's a  magnificent bastard.
