Prom Night At Hater High(Season 4, Episode 15)

All about the fall out from the Nathan sex video! First a flashback to two years before...

Jerkass Season One Nathan has an argument with girlfriend Peyton(or maybe I should call her Surly Season One Peyton.)Peyton is upset that Nathan only wants to get drunk and have sex. Nathan and Brooke happen to sit down on the same couch together and..BOOM they have sex. Nathan decides on a whim to film it. We then cut to Peyton's  immediate reaction to the video: she punches Brooke hard.

The next day, Brooke uses a bag of frozen peas to soother her black eye. Haley wants to know if Nathan uses the video for his, um, "personal pleasure." Turns out Nathan has completely forgotten about the video until it was broadcast for all to see. Haley wants a list of all the girls Nathan nailed! Besides the ones she knows about, like her sister. Haley refers to Nathan as "Fabio" here. Is Fabio promiscuous? I think "Charlie Sheen" might be used if the show aired now.

Despite all this friction, everyone must prepare for the prom. Chase breaks up with Brooke(bummer)and Karen tells Lucas she's going with Dan as chaperones. Lucas is befuddled. Nathan walks in on Dan doing dorky dance moves while listening to some unknown music(probably KISS. It's horrible, just like Dan.)

Rachel was expelled from school and is going to visit her parents. Mouth stops by and tells her about his Shelley situation, and Rachel comforts him one(last?)time. Brooke is surprised to learn about Shelley's breakup with Mouth, so she ask him to the prom. Because Brooke is a saint.

Brooke eggs Peyton's house! Peyton has Brooke's prom dress and won't give it back. The two of them have a fight on the front lawn. Peyton expresses anger at Brooke for mocking her mother's death. Which I don't recall happening. Maybe it was off screen. Peyton takes out her frustrations on her sparring dummy. She has gotten scary good at the boxing! Just ask Brooke's eye.

Nathan gives Haley a list, but it only has one name: Haley! The girl he loves. Smooth move. Haley is almost convinced, but needs a pep talk form Debra to push her over the edge. Debra tell Haley to cut Nathan some slack, since his only role models were an alcoholic mother and a controlling monster father.

At the prom:  Brooke has her prom dress back! But Peyton has written "Whore" across it, which is only visible when she steps under a black light. Brooke is delighted, because this means Peyton still cares about her. Brooke and Mouth send a photo to Rachel(she's waiting at the airport) and Rachel is moved. A touching moment. 

Fergie and Junk are without dates and stuck, together, as semi recurring character often are. Junk is worried people will think they are  a couple. Not on the show enough, those two.

CLIFFHANGER: Peyton is dolled up and ready to go. Lucas is there to pick her up...Oh wait. It's Psycho Derek.  OH THE HUMANITY! Use your boxing!
