I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness(Season 4, Episode 5)

Lucas accompanies his mother to her latest checkup about her pregnancy. Karen assures him there's no reason to be so attentive(in One Tree Hill speak, that means there's something wrong with her. Just wait) On his way out, Lucas just happens to pass by a room where Derek's prostitute is waiting to see a doctor. She's been beaten to a pulp, and has a wound on her leg in the same spot where Peyton was shot. The woman gives Lucas Peyton's jacket, and our squinty hero leaves very disturbed.

Everybody reacts to Haley's pregnancy in different ways: Nathan is distracted by good news that he's been accepted to Duke University on a basketball scholarship, and quickly leaves after getting a call from Rachel. Dick move, Nathan.

Brooke stands up on a table outside the school and announces to everyone that those rumors about her are false. She seems very happy to be off the hook at Haley's expense. It looks like the "old" Brooke is shining through for a moment.

Dan is very tender with Haley! He even tweaks her cheek and seems proud like a loving father. Of course, he turns right around and tells Nathan that Haley should be ditched so Nathan can go to Duke. The two faced bastard!

Peyton shakes off Lucas' worries about Derek, even after the whole story with the woman and her leg wound. This doesn't last long, however. Derek tries computer chatting with Peyton disguised as Lucas, but the "y" key on his laptop sticks, and Peyton quickly discovers the ruse after searching through her past e-mails from Derek. Of course, she stupidly goes to Derek's apartment and has a tense encounter. Derek now realizes that Peyton will never be his, and things escalate... quickly.

A friendly cop has investigated Derek at the request of worried Lucas! Derek is arrested. BUT WAIT! It's a different guy(actually the REAL Derek!) Real Derek and Lucas go to Peyton's house, where she is being attacked by Fake Derek. He somehow had time to wallpaper her entire room with his photos of her while she was away. Guy is crazy determined.

Lucas and real Derek show up, and a fight ensues! Lucas is tazered! Peyton hits fake Derek with lamp, which has no effect, and he attempts to rape Peyton. This gives Lucas and real Derek enough time to recover, and they both tackle the crazy fool and he goes flying out the window and falls hard on the lawn.

Nathan holds a press conference to announce his college decision, with Dan in attendance! Haley is watching at home, and she is delighted when Nathan does the right thing. he will postpone until he and Haley can make a decision together. A touching moment. Lucas' prophecy about Nathan not being Dan has been fulfilled. He's a couple more miracles from becoming a saint.

Hey! It's Rachel and Oh That Brooke! Double Feature:  Rachel reveals to Nathan she made up the whole thing about seeing Keith in order to be close to him. Also, she makes amend s with Brooke about spreading the pregnancy rumors by setting Brooke up on a date with a hunky dude. Rachel's not so bad after all!

Brooke gets lucky with her date, in the school no less! But PLOT TWIST! The principal is very surprised to see hunky dude there, but hunky dude assures him he's just preparing for his class. That's right, he's a teacher. Ha ha!

CLIFFHANGER(S): The cops show up at Peyton's(after the action is over of course) but Fake Derek has disappeared(like Michael Myers at the end of Halloween!) Dan finds a new message painted on the wall of his office: a Bible verse(Genesis 4:10)
