Everything In Its Right Place(Season 4, Episode 11)
This episode begins with a message from Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush, wishing the viewers a "happy new year" and hoping that we are looking forward to new episodes on the CW. Then they perform a little skit about the weird things that are in Lucas' room(such as a tiki head mug)Interesting little time capsule there.
Haley expresses sorrow over the "poor man" who hit her. She cannot believe Dan would kill someone who just caused an accident. Nathan panics when Haley tells him she wants to contact Daunte's family, and he spills the beans about the whole ugly mess. Haley is crushed and dismayed! Bless her sweet heart.
Dan's lawyer has discovered that Daunted died in the crash. The murder charges are dropped and he is immediately released to do what he does best: give a press conference to turn things in his favor. Dan's approval ratings as mayor increase. Stupid town. Lucas tells the news to Nathan. Nathan is happy he didn't murder anyone, but still bummed about lying to Haley.
Debra is in rehab again, and when she sees the news she laments that she can't escape Dan, no matter where she goes! She ties her bed sheets together and makes a break for it out her window. One of the nurses is waiting, to remind her that her stay is voluntary and she only need to sign out to leave. Ha! Ha! Comedy.
Brooke fails a class and is moved by desperation to break into the tutor center with Rachel. They dress up in Emma Peel style catsuits for some reason(Okay, it was the ratings. The camera even lingers on Brooke's posterior at one point)and are quickly caught by the principal. They save themselves by claiming they are attending the "Clean Teens' meeting, run by Shelley. Shelley pronounces Rachel and Brooke born again virgins! Complete with t-shirts! They can no longer have sex. "Can we still Brooke ourselves?" Rachel wonders.
Gigi breaks up with Mouth. She's pretty cold hearted at first, asking Mouth if her would prefer text message or e-mail. But she's really just preparing herself for reality: She is a sophomore, and Mouth is a senior and will soon graduate and depart for college.
Dan returns home and finds a new message on his wall. This time, it's a collage of newspaper clippings. Karen is outraged and starts tearing them down! She thinks it's about the Daunte thing, and she seems to be falling for Dan! Ewww.
CLIFFHANGER(S) Rachel and Brooke decide to continue with the "Clean Teens ruse for awhile, since the principal is suspicious and watching like a hawk. Lucas still hasn't figured out what Keith wanted him to remember about the day of the shooting. Give him a break! He's been in a coma twice!
(This one was short, about 40 minutes or so including the opening. But come on...catsuits!)
