Just Watch The Fireworks(Season 3, Episode 15)

The time capsule with the students messages(that was intended to be buried for 5o years) is broken into, and the videos are played in the school for all to see. Haley sees Nathan say that marrying her was the biggest mistake of his life. Brooke flashes her um, assets. But the important thing here is the message from a kid named Jimmy, who appears very troubled and vindictive. He accuses everyone in Tree Hill High of being total losers who hide under artificial squeaky clean exteriors.

Jimmy is a former friend of Mouth, and member of Lucas' river court group. Lucas and Mouth try to reach out to Jimmy by inviting him to the benefit concert at Tric, and Jimmy seems to soften up a bit.

Karen and Keith break their engagement news! Lucas and Haley are thrilled. Keith tells Lucas he wants to officially adopt him. Nathan apologizes for the message his "former self" recorded, but Haley seems to take it in stride.

Coach thinks Mouth might have an idea how the time capsule could have been taken. Mouth insists he has no idea, but Brooke is very suspicious. She thinks he is covering for somebody, and expresses her disappointment in Mouth. It's because of the Rachel thing, I bet.

Dan appears very depressed about his life, and he wants to reminisce with Keith. Dan reminds Keith of all the times Keith stood up for him when he was bullied as a kid. But those days are over, and now Dan is a hateful and vindictive person who blames his brother for his attempted murder.

Dan shoves the ledger in Keith's face, calling it the "smoking gun" that proves Keith's guilt since it was the only thing not destroyed in the fire. Keith tells Dan to destroy the ledger and move on with his life, like he's going to do with Karen. Keith insinuates that he could use the ledger to bring Dan down, but that doesn't make sense, since we learned that it was a fake created by Dan to test Lucas. It could be a plot hole, or perhaps Keith just didn't know that it was fake.

Jimmy runs into trouble at the concert: some punks who heard him badmouthing them on the videos beat him up. He's rescued by Rachel, who shows up to mace the punks faces(she gets pushed into some garbage for her help)and then Lucas and Nathan. Jimmy is understandably upset by this and goes home.

Haley still suffers from the stage fright, but now she has a ritual that makes her feel better. She hides under a table and sings the  score from "Les Miserables." Haley sings  a song called "Halo." It's about... three minutes long. It plays over a montage of Mouth looking for Jimmy and Lucas accepting Keith's adoption request. One Tree Hill loves it's montages.

CLIFFHANGER: Dan destroys the ledger in his fireplace. That means he's ready to move on, right?
